Working Together

  • Wage subsidy employment program for persons with disabilities
  • Provides wage subsidy to employers who hire participants
  • Removes barriers and introduces potential employees to job opportunities
  • Offered at no cost to qualifying clients, our Working Together Program serves people with all types of disabilities.
  • You are eligible to enroll if you:
    • Have a disability (self-declared)
    • Are unemployed (less than 20 hours per week)
    • Are legally entitled to work in Canada
    • Are not currently reveiving EI and have not collected EI within the last three years
    • Are job ready
  • While working with you and your employer, we will:
    • Subsidize wages for a minimum of six months
    • Provide necessary worksite accommodations
    • Complete paperwork
    • Provide ongoing support


  • For Aboriginals with Disabilities on Reserve
  • Community Navigators are leaders in their communities. We recruit and train Aboriginal Peers and Elders to provide Peer Support.
  • Help link Aboriginals on Reserve provide information and referrals to community and Band services.
  • Over the three year project, reach all Bands throughout the Okanagan Nation.

  • Free online computer skills tutoring
  • A great starting point for adults with disabilities to develop basic computer skills
  • Self-paced, client-centered learning
  • Ongoing technical support
  • The option to participate from your own home or a community site
